Cons: Homework is easy but really stupid and time consuming, doesn't contribute to learning the material.
Boring lectures, don't go to class unless there is a guest speaker - she will test you on what they say.
Cons: Her tests were a lot harder than I thought they would be.. I don't really know why but this turned out being my hardest class of the semester. Also the mastering geography homework takes forever and is pointless.
I wouldn't recommend her if you're trying to make a good grade.
2) Her exams may cover a lot of material, but the questions are straightforward. She is not one of those profs that is trying to trick you. She genuinely wants you to do well!
3) Her lectures are interesting and will give you the most important ideas from the textbook chapters (which tells you what to study for the exams!). She follows and supplements the textbook well.
Dr. O'Reilly is a wonderful professor, and her class is fascinating. In terms of what is required of the student, reading the textbook and attending lectures is enough to do well. The exams are straightforward and what you put into the class will be reflected by your grade.
she is nice and caring
outstanding in a discussion setting. unsure how prof would be for a general geog 202 class.
Cons: Never really teaches. Class discussion format
Cons: Quizzes are timed (only 10 minutes), but aren't hard if you read the chapter first. Homework is time-consuming and not as directly relative to the material.
It's a relatively easy class, but it takes more work than expected. Having so many different learning tools can either be seen as helpful or a pain in the ass, but it makes it feel like a high school class. I rarely went to class and did fine learning from the book/online materials.
Cons: you have to learn a LOT of map ID for the exams and its only worth 15 points of the exams
